Dr. Tessie Harfuch Capdevila is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon at Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery of Chicago. She provides expert surgical care with compassion, precision, and a patient-first approach.

Born in Mexico City, Dr. Harfuch Capdevila brings an international perspective and a deep cultural awareness to our practice. She completed her oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at the University of Puerto Rico, receiving advanced training in procedures involving facial trauma, reconstructive jaw surgery, complex dental implants, and head and neck pathology such as cysts and tumors. Dr. Harfuch Capdevila enjoys and has had extensive training in corrective jaw surgery also known as orthognathic surgery.

Fluent in both English and Spanish, Dr. Harfuch Capdevila is dedicated to making patients feel informed, comfortable, and confident in her care. She is known for her calm demeanor, attention to detail, and ability to build trust with patients from all backgrounds.

Outside of the office, Dr. Harfuch Capdevila leads an active lifestyle. She enjoys all kinds of sports (tennis, kite surfing and golf) and is a passionate marathon runner and triathlete. Currently she has qualified for the Boston Marathon, so be careful she might just pass you on Lake front trail as she readies for the event. She’s also a proud cat lover, and enjoys spending her downtime with her feline companions.
